INTRODUCING OURSELVES
At the very beginning of our project we naturally wanted to get t know each other. Both the German and Czech students thought that the best way how to introduce ourselves is to see each other and hear each other and that ´s why we chose to shoot short videos. First the German students produced a wonderful video on which all the students (on e after another) introduced themselves and shortly informed about their likes and dislikes. The Czech students made 15 short videos in Movie Maker (one for each students) – each video starting with a set of questions to be answered by their partners in Germany. The German students then created a task for their Czech partners too – they wrote short profiles and in the twinspace photo gallery placed photos of the students, each with some distinctive features (e.g. one of the students posed in a typical ballet position or ...) and the Czech students had to match the profiles and the photos. As you can see we didn´t give anything free to each other but at the same time we really enjoyed these activities. As we wanted to get to know even more, we also used a short survey in which all the students answered simple questions such as ..... it was easy then to compare the answers ....
INTRODUCING OUR SCHOOLS
In November we already knew quite a lot about the members of our project team, but not much about our schools. The German students produced four Word documents full of interesting information about their school. To motivate their partners to read it carefully, they sent them a wonderful quiz game “Who wants to be a millionaire?” In return, the Czech students sent them a presentation about their school together with a Power Point quiz “Take Risk”. We really had a lot of fun doing the quizzes and we also proved how much we understood and remembered.
