About us and our project
INTRODUCTION
In the course of the school year pupils from Germany and the Czech Republic exchanged information using different tools. We used the old snail mail as well as new media to get to know each other and become friends.
OUR SCHOOLS
The Mädchenrealschule Neumarkt is an all-girls school located in Bavaria/Germany. There are about 1000 girls aged 10-16 at our school. The pupils who take part in the project are all in the bilingual class. They have got the subject IT in English.
Gymnázium Vysoké Mýto is a small grammar school in the town of Vysoké Mýto / the Czech Republic. Currently about 350 boys and girls in 12 classes attend this school. The students are all between 12 and 19 years old. The pupils who take part in the project are all in their third year at school.
AIMS OF OUR PROJECT AND EXPECTED RESULTS
One aim was to get to know the "unknown" neighbour a little bit better - our countries are close together, but our students don't really know a lot about life on the other side of the border. Besides this we wanted the students to improve their English and use it as a lingua franca. The students also used various new tools, e.g. different etwinning tools or computer programmes like excel.
